Nearb y, in Manhattan's Central Park, a measurement of 9.5 inches was reported as of 10:45 AM, and up in Westchester Country, the snowfall totals are ranging from 8.8 to 10.5 inches as of 12:30 PM. Note: Some of the lower the lower snowfall totals measurements were taken very early this morning, and will continue to be updated throughout the day. Ronkonkoma - 10 inches (reported by local reader) Nesconset - 10 inches (reported by local reader) Kings Park - 8 inches (reported by local reader) Islip Airport - 8.1 inches **Snowfall Record Broken!** ![]() Here are the reported snow totals for Long Island, taken between 10 AM - 12:30 pM this morning, as reported by the National Weather Service: Weather forecasts for today have predicted anywhere from 4 to 10 inches of snow, and small accumulations of ice, however some areas on Long Island are already reporting over a foot of new snow. The snowfall that began late last night simply isn't ready to relent yet, and LI is getting buried once again - before the snow from last week's winter storm had a chance to melt. Although hearts across Long Island may be getting those warm and fuzzy Valentine's Day feelings, that's certainly not the case outside.
